Special and beautifully situated 6 person former mill.

Spend the night in an old water mill (the turret) as a delightful cottage! The old water mill has been completely renovated, transforming it into a beautiful six-person accommodation of which you will not easily find a second one. This accommodation is beautifully located in the triangle Hoogezand, Veendam and Zuidbroek, centrally in the province of Groningen. Here you can watch the sun rise and set, with fantastic views over the countryside. There is a small lake with beach at walking distance from the accommodation. There are also several entertainment options, restaurants and eateries in the vicinity. A day of shopping in the city of Groningen (25km) is also highly recommended. Be surprised at this special "little tower of Tripscompagnie".

Layout

The turret has three floors. On the ground floor is the living room with a dining area and a sitting area with TV. The open kitchen has, among other things, a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, four-burner stove, filter coffee machine and a kettle. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a shower, sink and toilet. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a high bedroom with a spacious bunk bed suitable for three people. Here is also the staircase to the second floor of the tower. There are three spacious single beds on the second floor. In the attic of the tower you can sleep between the old trusses. All bedrooms have a view of the starry sky through a small round window.

Location and surroundings

Tripscompagnie, Groningen

Tripscompagnie is a ribbon village on one of the canals in East Groningen in the Netherlands. The village arose along the Tripscompagniesterdiep that was dug in 1640 on behalf of Adriaan Trip to be able to extract the peat from the surrounding peat bogs. (Wikipedia). Tripscompagnie is located in the triangle Hoogezand, Zuidbroek and Veendam. In all these places you can do your daily shopping or go out for dinner in a nice restaurant. If you would like to enjoy a day of culture and extensive shopping, it is best to visit the city of Groningen, less than 25 kilometers away. The Zuidlaardermeer, where you can rent boats or go swimming, is 10 kilometers away.

Mooi huis op mooie locatie. Gastvrije eigenaar. Hele steile (draai)trap waar je achterstevoren vanaf moet. Weinig ventilatiemogelijkheden op de slaapkamers. (vooral jammer als het erg wam is) Verder prima.
