Cosy four-person holiday home in a quiet, wooded park in IJhorst

In a sunny location, close to the forest, on Het Reestdal estate, you will find this very attractive holiday home. Enjoying nature and peace and quiet is central here. No excessive activities, but lovely and cosy.

Layout

This holiday home is thatched and has a nostalgic farmhouse style. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with sofa and pellet heater, an open kitchen with fridge, hob and filter coffee maker, a bathroom with sink and shower, a toilet and a spacious double bedroom. Upstairs is a second bedroom with two single beds. The house has a spacious garden with a terrace.

Location and surroundings

IJhorst, Overijssel

IJhorst is a village in the municipality of Staphorst, where the stork is a familiar sight. The Ooievaarscentrum De Lokkerij was established in 1981 on the initiative of the Nature Conservancy to bring the stork back to the Dutch landscape. With results: the number of breeding pairs is still increasing! De Lokkerij is open for visits during the summer months, definitely worth a visit. The surroundings are easy to explore by bike or on foot: you will discover the Reest valley, the Zwarte Dennen or the Staphorst forestry. Surrounding towns such as Zwolle, Meppel, Hoogeveen and Steenwijk are also recommended: here you can enjoy a terrace, a museum, the many shops or a cosy restaurant.
