The holiday home is located right at the edge of the forest of the National Park Drents-Friese Wold, which is great for walking, running, cycling and mountain biking. Within walking distance there is an outdoor swimming pool, several restaurants, bike rental and an experience trail. There is much more to discover in the region. The Blue Lake, national park Dwingelderveld, Fochterloërveen, the 33-metre high Bosbergtoren in Appelscha, the dolmens in Diever or Havelte. the Museum of False Art in Vledder or Museum de Koloniehof in Frederikshof. Daily shopping in Hoogersmilde and for a day of shopping to Assen (with the Drents Museum).
